Congratulations to Our New Climate & Space PhD!

After receiving his doctoral degree, Dr. Alex Hoffmann will work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Michigan with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

Another CLASP doctoral student has successfully defended their dissertation.

Defense Date: February 8, 2024

Dissertation Title: “Signal Processing Techniques for Spaceflight Magnetometry: Advanced Algorithms for Boomless Magnetic Field Measurements”

Faculty Advisor: Professor Mark Moldwin.

Dr. Alex Hoffmann plans to continue working at the University of Michigan with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center to research magnetometers for the Lunar Gateway Space Station and the Geospace Dynamics Constellation mission. He also plans to begin research on the impact of ultra-low frequency (ULF) waves on the ionosphere.
