Student life at U-M Climate & Space has been bustling this fall, as students from both the climate sciences and the space sciences side come together to celebrate community and enjoy courses on campus again.
In October, the department hosted a CLASP Pancake Mixer in the climate side student lounge, bringing everyone together to share ideas and experiences. Many special events have also taken place, including the presentation of a talk on human space flight by Dr. Emily Matula, the annual Snow Pool fundraiser, ping pong tournaments, and pumpkin carving to celebrate the season. The festivities continue on Monday, Oct. 31, with a joint celebration of CLASP and AERO students in the University of Michigan College of Engineering.
It could be said that even the Sun, itself, is smiling down on everyone this fall, as seen in a real image taken by the Solar Dynamics Observatory in late October. Wishing everyone the best of the season!
