Congratulations to our new Climate & Space PhD!

Dr. Bhattacharya has served on the U-M student delegation to the U.N. Convention on Climate Change, and he was named an AGU Thriving Earth Fellow.

Another CLASP doctoral student has successfully defended their dissertation.

Dissertation Title: “Perspectives from the Juno Microwave Radiometer: Probing Jupiter’s Deep Rock Clouds, Thermochemistry and High-Energy Electron Precipitation over Northern Aurora”

Faculty Advisors: Assistant Professor Cheng Li and Professor Emeritus Sushil Atreya

Dr. Ananyo Bhattacharya has been an active changemaker at the U-M Department of Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering, serving on the University of Michigan student delegation to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change, and participating in the AGU (American Geophysical Union) Thriving Earth Exchange Community Science Fellowship. While he has not decided on his future plans, he may consider career opportunities in academia, industry or government, related to the areas of space and climate sciences and engineering.
