CLASP Students Earn Distinguished Awards & Honors

Four students from U-M Climate and Space garnered Leaders and Honors Awards from the University of Michigan.

Four students from the U-M Department of Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering garnered Leaders and Honors Awards from the University of Michigan, with representation from majors in both the climate sciences and the space sciences.

Each year, Michigan Engineers garner tremendous achievements in and out of the classroom during their academic career. The College of Engineering is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of students who have demonstrated excellence in their academic work, leadership experiences, and in service to others.

The 2024 honorees include:

  • Ari Gottesman, Space Sciences and Engineering, Distinguished Academic Achievement Undergraduate Award
  • Onyinye Nwankwo, Space Engineering, Richard F. and Eleanor A. Towner Prize For Distinguished Academic Achievement

  • Victoria Scheidt, Climate and Meteorology, Distinguished Academic Achievement Undergraduate Award
