Research Interests

Current work focuses on modeling the Mercury space environment with BATSRUS and particle tracing using AMPS. Particular areas of interest include sodium ion energization and nightside plasma dynamics.

Additional work focuses on the identification and study of foreshock particles at Mercury’s bow shock, using data collected in situ by the Fast Imaging Plasma Spectrometer (FIPS) aboard the MESSENGER spacecraft. My work on this subject is with a specific focus on studying the acceleration processes that create these particles, as well as their source, with the goal of describing the foreshock geometry of Mercury.
