CYGNSS is a constellation of eight small satellites designed by researchers at the University of Michigan that will help study the relationship between ocean surface properties, most atmosphere thermodynamics, radiation and convective dynamics codetermine how a tropical cyclone forms and whether or not it will strengthen.
