Mark Moldwin, CLASP Professor and Associate Director for Academic Affairs, uses a telescope outside of the CLASP Building on North Campus to view the transit of the planet Mercury on May 9, 2016.

Mercury becomes viewable approximately 14 times a century as the planet Mercury comes between the sun and the earth, enabling researchers to glean important data about the solar system and space.
