I am an experimental space physicist who studies the solar wind at 1 AU using the twin Faraday cup instruments on board the Wind spacecraft. My research focuses on differential flow, or the fact that heavy ions flow at a velocity greater than fully ionized hydrogen. I also study the interplay between fast, kinetic scale effects and macroscale processes like Coulomb collisions.
