I am interested in the magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling and their effects in driving local phenomena like auroral precipitation, magnetospheric response and spacecraft charging. I am presently studying the statistical dependence of the ionospheric conductance with the solar activity, to apply in inner magnetospheric/ ionospheric numerical methods. I am also (in a bizarre set of events) pursued in studying the lower corona of the sun and the generation of dynamic structures on the solar limb due to time transient events like prominences and CMEs.

Personal Introduction

I am a joint PhD student in Space Sciences and Master of Science student in Aerospace Engineering. I am from an Aerospace background, and a long list of events and interests helped me into space physics. My primary interests are in understanding terrestrial magnetosphere dynamics and the input of the ionosphere. I am also a patron of Indian classical music and an ardent classical singer (Hindustani classical, Rabindrasangeet, Bengali folk).
