Personal Introduction

I am currently the lead mechanical engineer in research at the Space Physics Research Laboratory (SPRL) at the University of Michigan.  I am responsible for the mechanical analysis, design, and testing of spaceflight hardware including the thermal analysis and design in multiple projects including the CYGNSS spacecraft.  I provide the thermal and mechanical analysis using Thermal Desktop software.  I am also responsible for the hardware testing with the thermal vacuum chamber and vibration table at SPRL.

Specializations and Research Interests

Interests include the design of specialized equipment for spaceflight applications with particular interest in the design of the thermal/mechanical systems as they relate to electrical components.  Other interests include advanced spacecraft propulsion, specializing in electric propulsion.
