Assoc. Prof. Huang to serve as journal editor, committee chair for AMS
Climate & Space associate professor Xianglei Huang was recently named as an editor for American Meteorological Society (AMS) publication, Journal of ClimateWidely regarded as a leading journal in the physical climate community, the Journal of Climate publishes research advancing the basic understanding of the dynamics and physics of the climate system on large spatial scales.
 
Prof. Huang was also elected by the AMS Committee on Atmospheric Radiation to serve as their next chair at the 15th Conference on Atmospheric Radiation held last week in Vancouver, Canada. The Atmospheric Radiation Committee is a standing committee within the AMS, and one of its primary functions is to encourage and facilitate the integration of expertise from different scientific disciplines required for advancements in atmospheric radiation. Prof. Huang will work with the committee members to advise the AMS on all matters dealing with atmospheric radiation and promote the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information on atmospheric radiation.‚Äč
